With great pleasure I represent you The Zhytomyr Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who began its history at the end of 1960’s and is an integral part of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It unites enterprises and organisations of Zhytomyr region to promote the development of national economy, create conditions for entrepreneurship, to establish contacts and develop relations with business circles throughout the other countries. Our leading mission is to enhance the national economy and first of all to promote business in the region.
Special place in activity of our chamber occupies the membership system, which is very beneficial and prestigious.
Nowadays ZCCI is an integral part of the Ukrainian CCI network. It unites business organizations and enterprises of the Zhytomyr region.
We open new ways for local entrepreneurs, and we do that on civilized way using our authority as organisation of business people.
Today ZCCI cooperates with 3000 businesses and organizations of the Zhytomyr region, the common output of those amounts up to 80% of the gross region production.
Our mission is to strengthen and enhance the national economy, to promote business in the region as well as to establish contacts and develop relations with business circles throughout the world.
We are blessed to be working in Zhytomyr Region, which is a picturesque area of Northwestern Ukraine. Not only is the place full of charm, but it is also a well-developed industrial and agrarian region with a total area of over 30 000 sq. km and a population of about 1.5 million people. Region is rich in mineral resources and large forest resources. The basis of region’s economic potential makes highly developed network of industry and agricultural enterprises. The history of ZCCI began in the late 1960's. ZCCI is a member-driven organization that offers a wealth of opportunities and benefits to its members. Today ZCCI cooperates with 300 businesses and organizations of the Zhytomyr region, the common output of those amounts up to 80% of the gross region production. Being regarded as the ultimate business resource in the Zhytomyr region, we use our authority and prestige to help our members integrate into the world markets. We assess the business needs of our members and create programs, products and events that deliver strategic solutions to those needs. With development of market relations in Ukraine, there is always a bigger demand in services provided by the Chambers. That’s why we strive to meet business needs of the enterprises as fully as possible through providing them with a wide range of services.

Historical background
The Zhytomyr Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded at the end of 1960's as an expert organization (Bureau of Expert Expertize as part of the USSR Chamber of Commerce and Industry). In 1989 the Region Bureau was reorganized into an affiliated organization of "Kyivzovnishservis", that was part of the USSR Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ZCCI was founded in 1995 as an independent body on the basis of and through reorganization of "Kyivzovnishservis".
The Chamber acts in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, art. 3 of the Presidential Decree No. 357/94 from July 4, 1994 "On the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine"; articles 5.1-5.5 of the UCCI Statue; its own Statute adopted in accordance with the law of Ukraine "On Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Ukrane" from December 2, 1997.
Status and Mission of ZHCCI
ZCCI is a non-governmental non-profitable self-governing organization. It unites juridical persons that have been registered and act in accordance with Ukrainian laws, as well as Ukrainian citizens registered as private entrepreneurs, and any associations of the abovesaid. The missions of the Chamber are as follows: to strengthen and enhance the national economy and to promote its integration into the world economic system; to create up-to-date industrial, financial and commercial infrastructure; to strengthen, enhance and protect business in the region; to create conditions for all-ways development of all kinds of businesses in the region; to be the advocate for businesses and organiations members of ZCCI in their relationships with local bodies of state executive power.
Perspectives
The scope of activities of the ZCCI is not limited to the above-mentioned aspects. The Chamber proceeds to strengthen its position and to put new concepts into practice. ZCCI is constantly growing; it gets streamlined in order to comply with modern economic developments to be able to meet the challenges of the new millennium.
However, the main task of the Chamber during XXI remains working for the benefit of Ukrainian enterprises and as such, for Ukrainian economy in whole.
Activity orientation of the ZhytomyrChamber of Commerce and Industry The Zhytomyr Chamber of Commerce and Industry helps Ukrainian companies preferentially the members of the CCI to develop their international economic cooperation and:
Develops business ties and cooperation with foreign embassies, trade delegation, international organization;
Establishes direct business contacts between Ukrainian and foreign companies, firms, institution;
Organizes negotiations and presentation between representatives of Ukrainian companies and organizations with foreign businessmen on questions of collaboration;
Organizes business trips of Ukrainian companies to participate in international fairs and exhibitions abroad;
Concludes long term contracts for cooperation with partner originations of different countries - traditional and prospective trade partners of Ukraine.
